Mannu (Vyom) and Jiya (Saachi Bindra) are college sweethearts whose romance faces an unexpected crisis when Mannu is barred from taking his exams due to poor attendance — a situation made even more complicated because his mother, Rashmi Chaturvedi (Charu Shankar), is the head of the college. Desperate to save his relationship, Mannu lies to Jiya, claiming that he and his friends had been busy building a start-up, which explains his frequent absences. Jiya believes him at first, but the truth unravels when she discovers that the start-up and even its office space were a complete fabrication. Mannu’s lack of direction in life becomes painfully evident. The turning point comes when the college dean (Vinay Pathak) introduces Mannu to the Japanese concept of ikigai — helping him discover purpose and set his life back on track.
