Mardaani 3 is the third installment of the Mardaani franchise which revolves around Shivani Shivaji Roy (Rani Mukerji), a brave lady cop who yet again is fighting a dangerous criminal. Two young girls, Ruhani (Avanee Joshi) and Jhimli (Diorr Varghese), are abducted from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh and taken to the den of the ruthless beggar mafia queen, Amma (Mallika Prasad). The case turns high-profile when it is revealed that Ruhani is the daughter of India’s ambassador to Turkey, Sahu (Indraneel Bhattacharya). Shivani Shivaji Roy is assigned to lead the investigation. Fearing the girls may be killed or trafficked, Shivani urges Sahu to announce a 2 crore reward for any information leading to his daughter. Lured by the money, Pinku (Aadesh Pandit) and his gang—the men who originally kidnapped Ruhani—snatch her back from Amma’s hideout. As pressure mounts to recover Ruhani at any cost, Shivani is instructed to abandon the search for Jhimli and forget about capturing Amma. Refusing to compromise, Shivani continues her pursuit, suspecting a far more sinister plan—especially after discovering that Amma targets only prepubescent girls and is paying unusually high sums for each abduction. What follows is a tense battle of wits that uncovers a chilling truth.
