Mr. & Mrs. Mahi is a romantic sports drama that revolves around a failed cricketer, Mahendra ‘Mahi’ Agarwal (Rajkummar Rao), and his doctor wife, Mahima ‘Mahi’ Agarwal (Janhvi Kapoor). Mahendra is forcibly made to work at his father's (Kumud Mishra) sports shop while Mahima despite harbouring a dream of playing cricket navigates a demanding senior doctor at work who bullies and belittles her. The couple find solace in their passion for cricket and become each other's support system. Mahendra decides to coach his talented wife to qualify for the national team. During this journey, the husband-wife duo learns about individuality, chasing dreams, and defeating insecurities.
