Naach Basanti Naach is a social romantic drama set in a small town where Basant (Dilip Arya) makes a living by dressing up like a woman to dance and entertain people at events. Basant, popularly known as Basanti meets a college-going girl, Shweta (Riya Kapoor), and falls in love with her without revealing his true identity. Shweta's father fixes her marriage to a well-known boy of their caste but all hell breaks loose when her going-to-be husband knows about her affair with Basant.
