Naam is an action crime thriller drama. The movie revolves around Janki Kapoor (Nutan), and her two sons, Ravi (Kumar Gaurav) and Vicky (Sanjay Dutt), who lead a poor lifestyle. Vicky gets into some or the other trouble with the law, while Ravi is hardworking and lives life with dignity. Ravi dreams of going to Dubai and making it big, thus Ravi arranges for his Visa and ticket to Dubai and help him fulfil his dream. However, once in Dubai Vicky gets in trouble and is forced to work for the gangster and smuggler Rana (Paresh Rawal). Will Vicky be able to leave this criminal lifestyle and earn a livelihood with honesty?
