Naam Shabana is an action thriller drama and a prequel to the 2015 action thriller Baby that shows the origin story of Shabana Khan (Taapsee Pannu), a security agent. Shabana, a college student, falls under the radar of the security agency that wants to recruit her. Her lover, Jai gets killed by some goons who were teasing Shabana. Shabana gets a call from agent Ranvir Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), a security agent, who promises to help Shabana to take revenge for Jai’s murder on the condition that she’ll join the agency and help them catch an international arms dealer.
