Pitaah is a family action drama. The movie follows the story of a poor labourer named Rudra (Sanjay Dutt), who works in a rural town for a rich and powerful Zamindar Thakur Avadh Narayan Singh (Om Puri). Rudra finds out that his nine-year-old daughter, Durga (Tanvi Hegde), was brutally beaten up and assaulted by Avadh’s sons. He sets out to seek justice for his daughter, but faces a lot of hindrances on his way. He then decides to take the law in his hands and punish the culprits himself.
