Set in the city of Nainital, Pushtaini is a the story of a struggling Bollywood actor named Bhuppi (Vinod Rawat) who is trying to make a mark as an actor but somehow messes up things as luck evades him. To play a major role in a film he is told to invest in it which makes him head towards his home town Nainital where he plans to sell his ancestral house to generate the required amount. As he returns home he face his past, he gets to know some untold stories about his late father and the ancestral house that he wants to sell but not before unaware of what the journey has in store for him.
