Raksha Bandhan is a touching family drama of a brother named Kedarnath (Akshay Kumar) and his four sisters runs – Gayatri (Sadia Khateeb), Saraswati (Sahejmeen Kaur), Laxmi (Smrithi Srikanth) and Durga (Deepika Khanna) who stay in Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area and run Prem Lata Chaat Bhandar, a chaat shop. Kedarnath had promised his dying mother that he wouldn’t marry till he doesn’t get his sisters married. Kedarnath who is in love with his neighbour Sapna (Bhumi Pednekar), keeps her waiting till he doesn’t get his sisters married off. Sapna’s father Hari Shankar (Neeraj Sood), who wants his daughter to get married gives Kedarnath six months of time to get all his four sisters married or he’ll fix Sapna’s marriage elsewhere. Kedarnath is worried about how he’ll raise funds to get his sisters married for which he tries different ways to fulfil his promise. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
