Ramaiya Vastavaiya is a musical romantic drama that revolves around Ram Kapoor (Girish Kumar), a city boy born to billionaire parents and brought up in Australia. Ram falls in love with a village girl Sona Singh (Shruti Hassan), who is raised by her elder brother Raghuveer Singh (Sonu Sood). However, Ram’s mother doesn’t approve of the match and humiliates Sona and her brother Raghuveer. Raghuveer is furious but seeing Ram’s love for Sona, Raghuveer gives him a chance to prove himself worthy of marrying Sona.
