Rann is a political thriller drama. The movie revolves around Vijay Harshwardhan Malik (Amitabh Bachchan), an ethical CEO of a television channel who is struggling with the dropping ratings for his channel. Vijay’s son Jai (Sudeep) decides to aid his father by making a deal with a corrupt politician, Mohan Pandey (Paresh Rawal) to falsely accuse the Prime Minister (K. K. Raina) of being involved in the terrorist attacks. However, one of the journalists on Vijay’s channel, Purab Shastri (Riteish Deshmukh), comes to know about the plot.
