Saroj Ka Rishta is a romantic comedy-drama that revolves around a young girl Saroj (Sanah Kapur) who belongs to a middle-class family in Ghaziabad and due to her obesity makes match-finding difficult for her father. Saroj falls for a classmate Vikram (Randeep Rai) who is an NRI and looking for a slim girl. In order to woo him she decides to lose weight and joins a gym nearby. After joining the gym to lose weight without any pain, her gym trainer (Gaurav Pandey) falls for her irrespective of her weight and physical features. The drama further unfolds into a love triangle with Saroj trying to marry the boy she likes while her gym trainer tries to woo Saroj. What does Saroj finally choose, who will she marry finally?
