Saugandh is an action romantic drama. A proud and arrogant landlord Sarang Singh (Mukesh Khanna) doesn’t like to bow in front of anyone. When his sister Chand (Amita Nangia) falls in love with the son of a farmer, Shiva (Mayur), he is disgusted, and gets Shiva’s entire family and Chand killed. However, Shiva’s pregnant sister-in-law, Ganga (Rakhee), survives, and vows that she will bore a son and Sarang would have a daughter, and one day her son will marry his daughter, and make him bow his head down. Later, Ganga gives birth to a son, and names him Shiva (Akshay Kumar), while Sarang has a daughter, Chand (Shantipriya). The question remains, will Shiva fulfill his mother’s oath or ‘Saugandh’?
