Sawa Ser Gehun is a rural social drama based on the story of Munshi Premchand. The story revolves around a poor farmer Shankar (Santosh Gupta) who borrows Sawa Ser Gehun (One and a quarter kilo of wheat) from a moneylender to fill the stomach of his family but fails to return the wheat in due course of time. As a substitute, Shankar and his family are forced to serve as slaves at the moneylender’s house. Will Shankar ever be able to repay the wheat or continue serving the moneylender lifelong?
