Sector Balakot: A War Economy is a war – crime thriller that is based on the Balakot airstrike which was carried out by Indian armed forces against Pakistan. The story begins with a team of NIA officers who raid a secret location in a jungle where a shootout takes place and 8 terrorists and a master mind is hiding, who are planning a big event before India’s Independence Day. The mastermind, Kasim (Ashmit Patel) is taken into remand and an interrogation begins during which many unrevealed facts come out as to how the roots of terrorism originated and what goes into an international war & terrorism business.
