Shabd is a psychological thriller drama. The movie revolves around an author Shaukat Vashisht (Sanjay Dutt), who leads a wealthy lifestyle with his wife Antara (Aishwarya Rai Bachchan), a college professor. Shaukat decides to write a story centering on a woman named Tamanna and decides to base the character on his wife Antara. Shaukat goes on to write the story, but things take a turn when he finds out about Yash (Zayed Khan), a young college teacher and colleague of Antara. Yash is in love with Antara but is unaware that she is already married. Shaukat decides to manufacture a realistic story by including Yash’s character and asks Antara to hide her marital status from Yash. What will happen when Yash finds out that he was deceived all this while?
