Sherni is an action drama. The movie follows the story of a village belle named Durga (Sridevi), who lives happily with her family in the village that is terrorized by Thakur Dharampal (Kader Khan). One day, Durga’s father (Pran) is severely beaten by Thakur, and later, he brutally kills his family too. When Durga tries to seek the assistance of the Police, she gets no help as they don’t want to go against a dangerous criminal like Dharampal. Thus, Durga and his father take the path of crime, so as to avenge the death of their family members. How the father-daughter duo sets the score right with the criminal forms the rest of the plot.
