Shootout at Lokhandwala is an action crime thriller that is based on the 1991 Lokhandwala Complex shootout. The experienced police inspector Shamsher S. Khan (Sanjay Dutt) leads the team of 400 armed policemen to eliminate the gangster named Mahindra “Maya” Dolas (Vivek Oberoi), who was hiding in the complex of Lokhandwala. Maya is the second-in-command of the big boss in Dubai (referred to as Dawood Ibrahim). The gangster and his gang members get killed but the integrity of inspector A. A. Khan was questioned as he brought excessive force in a residential area that caused trouble to the locals.
