Sister Midnight is a dark comedy drama revolving around Uma (Radhika Apte), a rebellious small-town misfit who runs away from her house to arrive in Mumbai to find herself totally unsuited to life as a housewife. She meets Gopal (Ashok Pathak) a slumdweller who gives her shelter but soon her erratic behaviour attracts her neighbours and under the constant oppressive noise and heat of the city, she decides to break free from the shackles of domesticity and follow her own path.
