The Buckingham Murders is a crime, mystery thriller set in the town of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, London where detective Jasmeet ‘Jass’ Bhamra (Kareena Kapoor Khan) is yet to come to terms with the loss of her son who was shot dead by a lunatic. Dealing with her own grief, she is demoted and given a case to solve to divert her attention and forget about the loss. Her first case in Wycombe is that of a missing Sikh child who is found dead in an abandoned car in a park. As the investigation begins and the main suspect is a boy named Saqib Chaudhary (Kapil Redekar) who is the son of dead boy's father's ex-business partner, Jass slowly finds herself getting deeply involved in the murder investigation. The distraught parents of the boy, Daljit Kohli (Ranveer Brar) and Preeti Kohli (Prabhleen Sandhu) have an estranged marriage while Jass’ senior officer Hardik ‘Hardy’ Patel (Ash Tandon) seems to be harbouring secrets as well. The police catch the culprit Saqib whose revelation makes Jass thinks there’s more to the murder than what meets the eye. Amidst all of this, there is a twist of revenge, communal tensions, LGBTQ issues and much more.
