Vicky Vidya Ka Who Wala Video is a romantic comedy drama set in the 90s at Rishikesh, Uttarakhand which revolves around a newly married couple, Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and Vidya (Triptii Dimri) who plan to capture their first night after marriage on camera so that after years when they turn old can recapture the moment. Vicky manages to make his first night memorable but discovers that someone has stolen the video recorder along with the CD. Vicky tries lodging a complaint with the police, but all hell breaks loose when his whole family gets involved and he receives a call for a ransom in return of the CD. What happens next forms the remaining part of the plot.
