Waqt: The Race Against Time is a family drama. The movie revolves around an elderly married couple Ishwarchand (Amitabh Bachchan) and Sumitra Thakur (Shefali Shah). They have a son named Aditya Thakur (Akshay Kumar), a carefree man, who doesn’t wish to take any responsibilities. Ishwarchand gets diagnosed with lung cancer and has very little time with him. Aditya marries his long-time girlfriend Pooja (Priyanka Chopra), and things go out of hand when Pooja gets pregnant. To make Aditya realize his responsibilities, his father throws him out of his house. Will this huge step finally make Aditya a responsible man or make things bitter between father and son?
