Zanjeer is an action thriller film and a remake of Prakash Mehra’s Amitabh Bachchan starrer of 1973. The movie revolves around ACP Vijay Khanna (Ram Charan), a brutally honest and unforgiving police officer. He decides to eradicate corruption from society and sets out to chase a corrupt underworld gangster, Teja (Prakash Raj). Vijay is helped by Mala (Priyanka Chopra), the key eyewitness of the district collector’s murder who was burned to death by Teja’s gang, and Sher Khan, a dealer of illegal cars who is impressed with Vijay’s honesty and determination and decides to help him.
