Bollywood is the biggest entertainment industry in the country, which never fails to surprise its audience with strange things, be it a weird storyline or pairing of actors. There have been a handful of actresses, who impressively had a long career span in Bollywood, and despite the age barriers, these actresses romanced the father and their star sons on the silver screen. She appeared alongside Vinod Khanna, who was 20 years older than her, in Feroz Khan’s crime drama Dayavan (1988) and Mukul Anand’s romantic action drama Maha-Sangram (1990). In 1997, she was cast alongside Vinod Khanna's son Akshaye Khanna in the romantic drama Mohabbat which also starred Sanjay Kapoor.
2. Dimple Kapadia
Dimple Kapadia has romanced not one but two father-son duos on the silver screen. She appeared alongside Sunny Deol in many films like Manzil Manzil (1984), Arjun (1985), Aag Ka Gola (1990), Narsimha (1991), and Gunaah (1993). With Sunny Deol's father, Dharmendra, she was paired in movies like Batwara (1989), Shehzaade (1989), Mast Kalandar (1991), and Dushman Devta (1991). The other father-son duo she romanced was Vinod Khanna and his son Akshaye Khanna. She was paired alongside Vinod Khanna in movies like Insaaf (1987) and Khoon Ka Karz (1991). In 2001, she appeared in a small role in the romantic comedy-drama Dil Chahta Hai, portraying the love interest of Akshaye Khanna.

She has appeared alongside Sunny Deol in many movies like Sultanat (1986), Ram Avtar (1988), Joshilaay (1989), Chalbaaz (1989), and Nigahen (1989). She also romanced his father Dharmendra on the silver screen in the 1990 action film Naaka Bandi.
4. Amrita Singh
Just like Dimple Kapadia, Amrita Singh has also romanced not one but two father-son duos on the silver screen. At the start of her career, she was paired with Sunny Deol in several movies like Betaab (1983), Sunny (1984), and Kroadh (1990). She has appeared alongside his father, Dharmendra in movies like Sachai Ki Taqat (1989), Veeru Dada (1990), Paap Ki Aandhi (1991), and Kal Ki Awaz (1992). The other father-son duo she romanced on the silver screen was Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt. She was paired alongside Sunil Dutt in Kala Dhanda Goray Log (1986) and in the same year, she appeared with his son Sanjay Dutt in the crime thriller Naam. Poonam Dhillon and Sunny Deol formed a formidable pair in the 80s where both were cast opposite each other in romantic dramas like Sohni Mahiwal (1984), Saveray Wali Gaadi (1986), and Samundar (1986). Much after she romanced the son on the silver screen, she appeared alongside the father, Dharmendra in the multi-starrer action-drama Sone Pe Suhaaga (1988) which many may not remember.
6. Hema Malini
The Dream Girl of Bollywood, Hema Malini has appeared in over 100 movies in her long acting career. She started her acting career in Bollywood in Mahesh Kaul’s romance drama Sapno Ka Saudagar (1968), in the movie, she was paired with 'The Greatest Showman of Indian Cinema', Raj Kapoor. Though both had a 24 year age gap in real life but those days it was acceptable as actresses preferred being launched opposite a big star. After Hema Malini entered the big league of actresses she also romanced Raj Kapoor's eldest son, Randhir Kapoor on the silver screen in the 1974 film Haath Ki Safai. Years later she played the wife of Rishi Kapoor in Sukhwant Dhadda's Ek Chadar Maili Si released in 1986.
7. Jaya Prada
Southern beauty Jaya Prada also has the distinction of featuring in the list of top 10 Bollywood actresses who romanced with both father and son on-screen. She romanced Dharmendra in several movies like Qayamat (1983), Insaaf Kaun Karega (1987), Ganga Tere Desh Mein (1988), Elaan-E-Jung (1989), Kanoon Ki Zanjeer (1990), Farishtay (1991), Kundan (1993) and Maidan-E-Jung (1995). She then appeared alongside Dharmendra’s son Sunny Deol in movies like Zabardast (1985) and Veertaa (1993). Other movies where Sunny Deol and Jaya Prada featured but weren't romantically paired opposite each other were Main Tera Dushman (1989), Majboor (1990), and Insaniyat (1994).
8. Kimi Katkar
Kimi Katkar was one of the most popular lead actresses of the 80s and early 90s who romanced most of the then lead actors on-screen. Like many lead actresses on the list, Kimi Katkar has also romanced the Deol father-son duo on the silver screen. She appeared alongside Sunny Deol in Umesh Mehra’s action thriller Vardi (1989) and alongside his father Dharmendra in N. Chandra’s action drama Humlaa (1992).
9. Rani Mukerji
Rani Mukerji has appeared alongside Abhishek Bachchan in many successful Bollywood movies like Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai (2001), Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), and Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007).
