Ever since the Narendra Modi led, NDA government came into power in 2014 and re-elected in 2019, quite a few bold and necessary initiatives have been introduced and implemented for the welfare of the people. Some initiatives have gone down well while some faced stiff opposition, flak and protests from within as well as external forces. However, a huge majority of Indians expect and believe that these actions have led to the emergence of a ‘New India’, which has not only helped eliminate the socio-economic backwardness but also growth and development. Some may call it schemes while some may call it policies, but our Bollywood filmmakers have always been inspired by these initiatives and made them into movie scripts that have been commendable. Some flicks went noticed at the box-office while some sank without a trace due to a lackluster script or promotion or star power. Nevertheless, here is a list of Bollywood flicks, which were based upon some of the decisions, initiatives or actions taken and executed by the NDA government in the last few years.
