Half Girlfriend is a romantic comedy-drama based on a similar book title written by Chetan Bhagat. The movie revolves around Madhav Jha (Arjun Kapoor), a student from Bihar who takes admission to a Delhi college, and there he falls in love with Riya Somani (Shraddha Kapoor), an upper-class young girl. The two start spending time but Riya is not interested in him romantically. On Riya’s birthday, Madhav questions her about their relationship. Riya informs him that she is not his girlfriend, however, as they have come halfway, she offers to be his ‘Half Girlfriend’.
