Seema Biswas is an Indian film and theatre actress, who is known for her versatile roles in Bollywood movies. She started her career in Bollywood with the 1988 film Amshini. However, the movie that gave her fame was Shekhar Kapur directed biographical drama Bandit Queen (1994). Her role of Phoolan Devi in the movie earned her the National Film Award for Best Actress. Her other notable works include Khamoshi: The Musical (1996), Company (2002), Bhoot (2003), Ek Hasina Thi (2004), Water (2005), Vivah (2006), Manjunath (2014), Half Girlfriend (2017), and many more.
