City of Gold – Mumbai 1982: Ek Ankahee Kahani is a social drama. The movie follows the story of mill workers in Mumbai. When the mill owner decides to shut down the mill, the lives of mill workers change drastically as they are left jobless. The greed and politics in big businesses of Mumbai lead to turbulence in the lives of small workers, and they are silenced when they try to raise their voices. The movie mainly focuses on the life of the impoverished family of one of the mill workers to showcase the aftermath of the shutdown of Mumbai mill.
