Hamid Ali Khan, popularly known by his stage name Ajit, was an Indian actor, who acted in over two hundred movies in his career span of four decades. He started his career in Bollywood with the 1945 film Kurukshetra, directed by Rameshwar Sharma. He has also acted in movies like Anand Math (1952), Nastik (1954), Naya Daur (1957), Mughal-e-Azam (1960), Aadmi Aur Insaan (1969), Heer Ranjha (1970), Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) and many more. He married twice and had a total of 5 children including actors Shehzad Khan and Arbaaz Khan.
