Bhagwan Aabaji Palav, better known as Bhagwan Dada or Master Bhagwan, was one of the best actor-directors of Bollywood. In the career span of 60 years, he appeared in over 350 films. He made his debut with the silent era film Bewafa Ashiq (1931). He appeared in versatile lead roles from the 1930s to 1960s and continued appearing in important and lengthy character roles till the 1990s. He has appeared in movies like Bachke Rahna (1949), Albela (1951), Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje (1955), Chori Chori (1956), Gunda (1969), Agent Vinod (1977), and many more. Later in his life, Bhagwan Dada faced a setback and was forced to sell his house and started living in a chawl. In 2002, he experienced a massive heart attack and eventually died.
