Dilip Prabhavalkar is an Indian actor, director and playwright, who has worked in several Hindi and Marathi language films and television serials. He is best known for his portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in the 2006 comedy-drama Lage Raho Munna Bhai, for which he was awarded the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor. Other Bollywood movies featuring him include Khilona Bana Khalnayak (1995), Encounter: The Killing (2002), Chupke Se (2003), Paheli (2005), Sarkar Raj (2008), etc.
