Jitendra Shastri was a well-known theater, TV and Bollywood actor who appeared in supporting roles. Born in Ujjain in 1957, Jeetu Bhai graduated from the National School of Drama and went on to join the world of theater where he enacted important roles of which ‘Qaid-E-Hayaat’ and ‘Sundari’ had some of his memorable performances. Jitendra Shastri shifted gears and went on to debut on the small screen where was seen in Shyam Benegal's TV series Bharat ‘Ek Khoj’ and Star TV’s Best Sellers. He made his Bollywood debut with a supporting role in Shekhar Kapur’s ‘Bandit Queen’ and later worked in films such as 'Lajja', 'Daud', 'Charas', 'Black Friday' and the Arjun Kapoor starrer 'India's Most Wanted' (2019). He was last seen in the popular web series ‘Mirzapur’ as Usman. He passed away on 15 October 2022 in New Delhi.
