Manju Singh was an actress and television anchor, presenter and producer who started her acting career in Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s classic comedy drama Gol Maal in 1979. Thereafter she appeared in a handful of movies but it was TV where she belonged to. She started as a television producer on Doordarshan in 1983 with Show Time that was followed by Ek Kahani which was based on literary short stories from several regional languages. Most of her shows such as Adhikar and Swaraj were liked by the audiences across the nation that highlighted national, social and cultural issues. She passed away on 14 April 2022 due to a cardiac arrest.
