Mumtaz Askari is a former Indian actress, who made her debut in Bollywood at the age of 11 with Sone Ki Chidiya (1958). Throughout her teenage years, she appeared in several small roles in movies like Stree (1961), Sehra (1963), Gehra Daag (1963), etc. Later, she established herself as a leading lady in Bollywood with movies like Faulad (1963), Bandhan (1969), Aadmi Aur Insaan (1969), Sachaa Jhutha (1970), Khilona (1970), Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971), Apna Desh (1972), Loafer (1973), Chor Machaye Shor (1974), Aap Ki Kasam (1974) and Nagin (1976). In 1974, she married a businessman named Mayur Madhvani and the couple has two daughters, Natasha and Tanya. Soon after her marriage, she retired from the film industry and moved to London. Her daughter Natasha is married to Feroz Khan’s actor son Fardeen Khan.
