Nazir Hussain was an Indian film actor, director, and screenwriter. He started his career with the 1950 film Pehla Aadmi, the movie launched him to stardom. It was followed by his other important movies like Do Bigha Zamin (1953), Devdas (1955), Naya Daur (1957), Parvarish (1958), Insan Jaag Utha (1959), Passport (1961), Kashmir Ki Kali (1964), Ram Aur Shyam (1967), Humjoli (1970), Bairaag (1976) and The Burning Train (1980).
