Pradeep Kumar was an Indian actor who worked in Hindi, Bengali, and English films. He started his acting career at the age of 17 with a Bengali film. In Bollywood, he made his screen debut with Hemen Gupta’s historical drama Anand Math (1952). It was followed by his other successful movies like Anarkali (1953), Nagin (1954), Adl-E-Jehangir (1955), Shirin Farhad (1956), Gateway of India (1957), Naya Zamana (1957), Taj Mahal (1963), Bahu Begum (1967), and Mehboob Ki Mehndi (1971). He had four children, including actress Beena Banerjee, who appeared in movies like Baaghi (1990), Khiladi (1992), Vansh (1992), Anjaam (1994), Main Khiladi Tu Anari (1994), etc.
