Daughter of noted writer Vijay Tendulkar, Priya Tendulkar was an actress, writer and social activist who became a household name in the 80’s because of her role in the famous TV serial Rajani. She made her Bollywood acting debut in Shyam Benegal’s Ankur in 1974 and thereafter appeared in films like Nasoor, Naam-O-Nishaan, Majaal, Mohra, Trimurti and Gupt. She was married to actor, writer, director Karan Razdan and died of a heart attack at the age of 47 in 2002.
