Rajeeta Kochhar aka Rajeeta Thakur was a film and television actress who primarily worked in Marathi as well as Hindi movie industry. Born in 1952, she started her acting career with a small role in Parwana in 1971 and thereafter played important roles in movies like Piya Ka Ghar (1972), Double Cross (1972), Rajnigandha (1974), Inkaar (1977), Aaya Toofan (1999) and Bhar: An Illusion (2008). Her last film was Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019). Some of her popular television serials were Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and films, Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, Hatim and Raat Hone Ko Hai, etc. She died in Mumbai on 23 December 2022 at the age of 70.
