Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an action-packed period drama that narrates the brief life and times of Rani Lakshmibai who was better known as Rani of Jhansi who ruled the princely state of Jhansi in Northern India. The queen was one of the leading figures who revolted against the British Raj in the battle of 1857 which went on to become India’s first battle of freedom. The queen was martyred during the battle against the British forces leaving behind a tale of valour and bravery of a fearless woman who laid down her life in honour of her country.
