Wife of famous Indian filmmaker V. Shantaram, Sandhya Shantaram was an Indian actress. She was discovered by V. Shantaram and cast in his film Amar Bhoopali (1951), which marked her debut in Bollywood. On the sets of Amar Bhoopali, they fell in love and subsequently married. Later, she made several appearances in her husband’s movies like Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje (1955), Do Aankhen Barah Haath (1958), and Navrang (1959). She passed away on 04 October 2025 at the age of 87.
