102 Not Out is the screen adaptation of a Gujarati play by the same name written by Saumya Joshi. The story is that of a 102-year-old Dattatraya Vakhariya (Amitabh Bachchan) who lives with his 75-year-old son, Babulal (Rishi Kapoor) who is also a widower and has a son who lives abroad with his family and hasn't visited India for a while. Dattatraya, who is full of life and wishes to break the world record for the oldest man living on earth, wants his son to be like him and live life to the fullest. How the 102-year-old father transforms his 75-year-old son's life forms the remaining part of the lively narration.
