The sequel to Robot, 2.0 is a take on the misuse and over usage of cell phones by humans in day to day life and how it has affected the nature and other living species who are slowly but steadily becoming extinct due to its radiation. Pakshi Rajan (Akshay Kumar), an ornithologist who operates a bird sanctuary dies after failing to save the birds. His reincarnation makes him destroy all the cell phones in the city knowing which Vaseegaran (Rajinikanth) recreates the second edition of Chitti, 2.0 to destruct Pakshi but not before the latter manages to pass on the message of protecting mother nature.
