Anand Aur Anand is a romantic family drama. The movie revolves around a young man named Arun Anand (Dev Anand), who is married to a beautiful lady (Raakhee). The couple has been trying but failed to conceive for years. Later, Arun starts an extra-marital affair with his secretary (Smita Patil), and she gets pregnant, but he does not wish to have any trouble with his wife, thus he asks an impotent man to marry the secretary and have the baby for a hefty sum of money. Years later, when Arun tries to meet his son, he is rejected by him. Will Arun ever be able to develop a relationship with his only child?
