Angrezi Medium is a social drama and the sequel to Hindi Medium where Champak Bansal (Irrfan Khan) a sweet-shop owner and a widower stays with his daughter Tarika (Radhika Madan) in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Champak is busy fighting a case against his own half-brother Gopi (Deepak Dobriyal), who also owns and competes with a sweet shop, for retaining the copyright of his forefathers’ surname which is a part of the brand name of his sweet shop. Champak's daughter Tarika has a dream to study abroad but the former finds it hard to fund her studies. Somehow Champak sends Tarika abroad and then on missing her tries to make it to the U.K. by unfair means. On reaching London Champak gets a cultural shock when he sees her daughter changed completely. What does he do, does he come back or leaves his daughter alone or gets caught by the police for entering the country by illegal means?
