Avtaar is a romantic family drama. The movie follows the story of an elderly man named Avtaar (Rajesh Khanna), who lives with his wife Radha (Shabana Azmi) and two sons. However, his sons are consumed in greed and throw Avtaar and Radha out of the house. The two come on footpath, and find no help, but their loyal servant Sewak (Sachin Pilgaonkar) continues to serve them and motivate them. With Sewak’s motivation, Avtaar earns great success, and seeing his success, his sons realise their mistake. The question remains, will Avtaar forgive and accept his sons again?
