Awarapan is an action romantic thriller. The movie revolves around Shivam (Emraan Hashmi), a gangster and right-hand man of Bharat Daulat Malik (Ashutosh Rana), a businessman who runs a chain of hotels in Hong Kong. Malik asks Shivam to keep an eye on Reema, one of his mistresses. Shivam learns that Reema is a Pakistani girl and victim of sex trafficking, whom Malik had bought in the Bangkok flesh market. Shivam decides to free Reema and help her unite with her lover, Bilal. However, tricking Malik and helping the lovers to elope won’t be easy, and it could cost Shivam his life.
