Bhoothnath Returns is a supernatural comedy-drama. It is the sequel to the 2008 film Bhoothnath. The movie revolves around Bhoothnath (Amitabh Bachchan), a ghost, who is mocked in Bhoothworld for his inability to scare children. To redeem himself he returns to Earth and tries his best to scare some children but fails. He then meets Akhrot (Parth Bhalerao), a fearless boy, who helps him to scare children. After seeing the amount of corruption in India, Bhoothnath decides to help Akhrot by standing for elections and going against Bhau Sahib (Boman Irani), a corrupt political leader.
