Black & White is a crime thriller. The story revolves around an Urdu professor, Rajan Mathur (Anil Kapoor), who lives with his wife Roma Mathur (Shefali Shah) and their daughter. Rajan meets one of his students Numair Qazi (Anurag Sinha), who claims to be a Gujarat communal riots victim. Numair is actually a suicide bomber, who has been ordered to plant the bomb on Red Fort on Independence Day. Numair wins the trust of Rajan Mathur to get the entry pass for Independence Day celebrations at Red Fort. There he sees people full of love and harmony that makes him reconsider carrying out the orders to set the bomb. Will he still carry out the mission and kill the innocents, or he’ll back off and save them?
