Anil Kapoor is an Indian actor and film producer who was one of the top actors of the 1980s and 1990s and has won a number of awards in his career span of over four decades. He made his Bollywood debut with a small role in the 1979 film Hamare Tumhare, starring Sanjeev Kumar and Rakhee in lead roles. His first film as a lead actor was the romantic drama Woh Saat Din (1983). Other important movies of his career include Mashaal (1984), Meri Jung (1985), Mr. India (1987), Tezaab (1988), Ram Lakhan (1989), Lamhe (1991), Beta (1992), Laadla (1994), Taal (1999), Lajja (2001), Nayak (2001) and many more. He is married to Sunita Kapoor and the couple has two daughters – actress Sonam Kapoor and film producer Rhea Kapoor, and a son – actor Harshvardhan Kapoor. His father was producer Surinder Kapoor while his elder brother is producer Boney Kapoor, his younger brother is actor Sanjay Kapoor and his nephew is actor Arjun Kapoor.
