Mashaal is an action family drama. The movie revolves around a journalist named Vinod (Dilip Kumar), who has exposed several evil men in the society through his newspaper ‘Mashaal’. When he meets a young boy named Raja (Anil Kapoor), he helps him to become a successful journalist. However, Vinod’s life takes a turn, as he is forced to transform into black marketeer to expose a dreaded criminal Vardhan (Amrish Puri). Will Vinod succeed in his mission or get caught in a much bigger problem?
